So everyone other than the ones that started shooting are to blame.

"I realize at this point that you are simply an apologist for the current IDF-inflicted massacre of Palestinian civillians, so I am taking my leave of this.

The response was disproportionate, by any standard. Saying that this is the fault of Hamas is akin to saying that a woman who gets beaten by her dh because she burned dinner brought it on herself.

Yea, it sure is the same if by 'burned dinner' you mean launching missiles

>>> I asked you before where this sort of effort stopped terrorist attacks. I don't believe it EVER has.

It's tough for a dead terrorist to pull off an attack.

>>> Eventually what works is to negotiate a settlement that gives both sides enough of what they want to preserve peace and let another generation grow up.

Really? Negotiate? I wonder why the Israelis and the Palestinians never thought of that...oh...wait...they did...many, many, many times. And every time they negotiate Israel makes concessions and then the Palestinians break the peace and attack Israel. Old story. The point is twofold...you can't negotiate with terrorists...and the terrorists aren't interested in "negotiating", they're interested in winning.

Bush finally offered an ultimatum...it was Hussein's refusal that started the war.
