Obama: Quit Listening to Rush Limbaugh if You Want to Get Things Done
Obama warned Republicans to quit listening to Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats, during a White House discussion on his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.
WASHINGTON -- President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.
"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to discuss his nearly $1 trillion stimulus package.
One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.
"There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats," the official said. "We shouldn't let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done."
That wasn't Obama's only jab at Republicans today.
While discussing the stimulus package with top lawmakers in the White House's Roosevelt Room, President Obama shot down a critic with a simple message.
"I won," he said, according to aides who were briefed on the meeting. "I will trump you on that."
The response was to the objection by Rep. Eric Cantor (R-Va.) to the president's proposal to increase benefits for low-income workers who don't owe federal income taxes.

<<<, and it would also simultaneously seriously damage any hope of future tax cuts. It would allow a majority of American voters to guarantee no taxes for themselves going forward. It would burden the private sector and put the public sector in permanent and firm control of the economy. Put simply, I believe his stimulus is aimed at re-establishing “eternal” power for the Democrat Party rather than stimulating the economy because anyone with a brain knows this is NOT how you stimulate the economy.>>>>>
Gotta love the spin.
What republican criminals!
Nothing to cry about now.

I used Spanish since you said que.
>>> Pay close attention to the snip above and also the article and graph that Opal posted, and you will see the fallacy of your post below.
Wow...a 69% approval rating after promising everything and having done nothing. That's amazing. Reagan started with 51% and Carter was a statistical tie with Obama...and we know how they turned out. LOL! Keep your eye on the bouncing approval rating...it's going to plummet as soon as Barry opens his mouth.
< Actually, we're probably starting out with the 46% that voted for McCain...then add the folks who didn't vote or were sitting on the fence...and then add the people who realize that Obama lied to them and we're off to a pretty good start...and they're probably not all white. LOL!
>>> To have an approval rating as high as Obama's, simple math would tell us that a lot of republicans are in that figure - simple math. Not the Rush following and the other 22% who think Bush did a good job - but a lot of, dare I say it, white republicans. Now, your "opinion" aside, the figures speak for themselves - figures compiled by professionals who do this for a living. They had it right about the election and they have it right now.
For a guy who hasn't actually done anything, I think you're confusing "approval" rating with "hasn't pissed me off yet" rating. As I said, once Obama starts sticking his fingers in the pie you'll see the numbers fall.
>>> Obama was right on the money when he encouraged the congress critters to not base their decisions on the spiel of the likes of Rush Limbaugh.
Obama blinked. For all of his lies and rhetoric of "I want to hear all sides"...he acknowledged his fear of dissent, tried to intimidate the Republicans, and bestowed a lot of power on Rush Limbaugh.
>>> He and those who think like him are now just obstructionists, not thinking about the country, but simply trying to keep the losing neoconservatives somehow relevant after their agenda was so soundly defeated.
Wow...LOL!
