I haven't seen too many calls to violence against the right (like those I quoted previously) in left wing political discourse on the airwaves. Another thing I haven't seen too often is the habit of lumping Conservatives into one big group and spending entire shows bashing them the way I see/hear it being done the other side. Granted, I'm in Canada and don't get MSNBC or American talk radio up here as a rule, so I could be mistaken. However, these types of shows haven't garnered too much success or airplay on the left, if one were to believe the statistics.
Certainly CNN does not do that. Sure, they can be critical of government but that's an important role of journalism. I'm used to hearing criticism of the government in power from our Canadian media but we don't tend to 1. Target large blocks of our citizenry for their views and 2. paint people who disagree with the current government as "traitors" and "anti-Canadian". In fact....I don't think "anti Canadian is even an expression.
