"Are you a militant gay?

Because unless you are, you can't define what "they' want."

<<Civil unions will afford EXACTLY the same legal rights.>>

Well currently they don't.

How exactly do you define "militant"? Is someone "militant" just for expressing their views and supporting a cause that they believe in?

Just a bunch of spurious arguments twisted to make an disingenuous point.

How so? What exactly has been twisted? If a civil union does not involve all the same rights as a marriage (which it does not at this time) then how can you consider the two to be equal?

>>> How does anyone have "less " of a marriage because others are allowed the SAME rights?

Homosexuals already have the exact same rights. The question was "do you have less of a relationship" because your "union" is called "civil union" versus a "marriage?"

>>> I feel sad for those who believe that their marriages are somehow corrupted because others are also allowed to marry.

I'm sure they appreciate your sympathy, but would probably appreciate it more if their traditions were just left alone.

>>> But, the same bogus claims were made wrt interracial marriages, and they proved to be nonsense.

How many times will you repeat the same ridiculous talking points?

>>> Marriage is still marriage, even though mixed race couples were granted access.

Well...yeah...because no matter what the race, marriage is still the union of a man and a woman...just like always.

>>> It's still marriage although same gender marriages are legal in other countries and soon to be accessible throughout this country was well.

I'm sure many folks in California felt the same way last May.
