Yeah, and undoubtedly, Ann Coulter, Christina Hoff Sommers, and Phyllis Schlafly count as some of the more 'reasoned', right?

I have to say I would have taken the same position.

I would have supported Prop 8 being on the ballot, but I would have voted to defeat it.

Ultimately, if you believe in a democracy, the majority gets to decide.

I believe in democracy, but I believe human rights trump the right of vote, in fact, trump everything. They just are.

I noticed you didn't refute my original statement that men and women are not both equally skilled in all areas even though that certainly seems to be the claim you were making only a few posts earlier.

What other civil rights do you think folks should vote to allow a minority group to have?

>>> Yeah, right. Sorry, but such a distinction is ridiculous.

In your opinion...but society disagrees.

>>> Aren't you arguing in the Vatican thread that the church should be consistent in application of its dogma, and thus cannot make an exception for a nine year old?

I was arguing that the Vatican WAS consistent in it's teaching in not showing preference for one life over another when no imminent threat existed.

>>> Yet here you are arguing that distinctions should be made by gender.

Of course they should...and we do it every day in all aspects of our society.

>>> Interesting.

Isn't it though?

<< Conservatives are much less likely to cast aspersions on such situations than liberals are...>>

>>> I wouldn't agree with that.

Color me surprised!

>>> Many conservatives had no problems casting aspersions on Obama during the election.

A few radicals...most conservatives stuck to the issues. But if you want to see an aspersion-fest, just look at how liberals acted during the campaign...and how they continue to act toward Palin and her family today. It's actually quite disgusting.

>>> I'm sure they would have gone even further if he had a pregnant teenage daughter.

You can speculate on what conservatives "might" have done, but the way the liberals behaved is a fact...and is something that should shame liberals with a conscience.

>>> And although I'm sure there were liberals who were not supportive of the Palin's (just as I'm sure there were some conservatives who were not supportive of the situation), I don't necessarily think there was a "crapfest heaped on the Palin's by the left".

"Not supportive?" BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

<>

>>> Can you site examples of the current "horrible attacks" against Bristol Palin that you referred to?

Sure...watch the news.

<>

>>> Possibly some, just as some conservatives can behave quite despicably.

Some...but that kind of hateful behavior seems more endemic among liberals.

<>

>>> LOL. Sure...keep telling yourself that.

Again, all you've got is speculation...unfortunately, the way liberals acted is a reality.
