As I recall, our Constitution is meant to protect the one from the tyranny of the majority... and in that spirit, care must be taken that legislative endeavours are not the vehicle by which the oppression takes place.
When one argues do it legislatively, that is in effect the challenge you place before me - that majority gets to determine my rights, and that is a huge, huge flaw in American democracy.

There's no difference, really... preventing dissemination of views is no different from preventing the view itself.
Some nations prevent revelation of court procedings until it is complete.

I will share what the opposition says, but I will not defend it.
She didn't defend the opposition to gay-marriage. And like I said before, you really need to distinguish between posters. Twisting words to mean something else than intended, and quoting out of context....
