I'm just now catching up on the most recent posts and I'm sure that as I read along further I will see that someone has already addressed your post, but I just had a few comments I wanted to make.

~For anyone that is unaware the Morman church put out a position statement on this issue. The Mormon church supports state unions for gays (similar to what our president Barry does) and full equality/rights/protections for gays in all other aspects~
Do you have a link to this statement?
In the meantime, I'm wondering why, then, Bishop Chris Church of Illinois sent out an email instructing
