Centric TV (BET/MTV) new national cable television network will premiere “Becoming Barack: Evolution of a Leader”. The one hour documentary is making its debut on the new CENTRIC Channel on President’s Day - February 15, 2010 at 8:00 PM EST. This revealing look at the early years that prepared Obama for the presidency has been specially titled by the network, “The Becoming Barack Special.” Possibly the most intimate documentary profile of young Obama to date - the production features exclusively the oldest known interview with Barack Obama from 1993, before the future president was known outside of the South Side of Chicago. Also included are interviews with those who worked side by side with him as a community organizer in Chicago - “Becoming Barack” reveals the man behind the leader.
Stuart A. Goldman, Executive Producer states, "It isn't as if Barack Obama transformed the South Side of Chicago when he was a community organizer there.’Becoming Barack' is the story of how the South Side transformed Obama. I am thrilled that Centric has chosen 'Becoming Barack' as the lead-off program for their President's Day launch during Black History Month. We are proud to be associated with this network for the national television premiere."
Michael B. Sutton, Co-executive producer of the film and President & CEO of African-American owned Little Dizzy Home Video and Records - distributor of the DVD release and companion soundtrack CD, further elucidates, "This wonderful documentary gives us a snapshot of the young Barack Obama and how and where he honed his skills. Obama is a living testament to our young people that “we must get involved if we're going to make a difference.” We here at Little Dizzy Home Video are excited about this new opportunity with Centric - many thanks to Paxton Baker and the staff at Centric TV."
“We are excited to bring CENTRIC viewers this powerful documentary that will give them a rare glimpse at our president, Barack Obama, in the early days of his career. We’re thrilled to present this special premiere on Presidents Day.” stated Paxton Baker, CENTRIC’s Executive Vice President and General Manager. “This special exemplifies the type of compelling and thought-provoking content that is central to our mature and sophisticated viewing audience. I'm proud to have it as a part of our unique programming lineup."

Oh for goodness sakes. I think people are a little bit tired of seeing Barack on T.V. We've all read the books, heard his story, yada, yada, yada.
We want him to be a leader....which clearly he is not. He is disappointing liberals and independents with his lack of ability to bring the "hope and change" he promised. It there a promise that he made that he hasn't broken yet?
I don't think anybody wants to waste an hour or two of their life to see this documentary which is nothing more than a cheap ploy to boost his ever sliding poll numbers.
Enough already.
<< We've all read the books>>
Did you?
<< It there a promise that he made that he hasn't broken yet?>>
Sure, lots of them. http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/promises/
From your own link:
The promises broken are on issues WAY more important than the promises kept.
Promises broken:
End no-bid contracts above $25,000
End income tax for seniors making less than $50,000
Allow five days of public comment before signing bills
Reduce earmarks to 1994 levels
Negotiate health care reform in public sessions televised on C-SPAN
Promises kept:
Create an Advanced Manufacturing Fund to invest in peer-reviewed manufacturing processes
Increase minority access to capital
Appoint a special adviser to the president on violence against women
Sign the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
As Obama continues to break his campaign promises, he will continue to lose support, hence the sliding poll numbers.
I hear now he is "agnostic" on raising taxes on those making under $250K. Hmmm.....America is going to LOVE that one!
<< We've all read the books>>
>>> Did you?
I started...but then gagged on the narcissism.
<< It there a promise that he made that he hasn't broken yet?>>

Wow...that's really pretty pathetic. Only ONE promise on the page you cited had been fulfilled...and that was only because of intense public pressure that forced him. The "in the works" nonsense? Sorry, but Barry doesn't get credit for offering lip service...and his "promises kept"..."Direct military leaders to end war in Iraq"...Really? When the drawdown of forces had been agreed to before he ever took office? "No permanent bases in Iraq"...So no promises to be kept in the future are considered "kept?" Really? Of course there won't be any "permanent" bases in Iraq...just like there aren't any "permanent" US bases in S.Korea or S.Vietnam...there are, however, many "enduring" bases...but hey, "promise kept. "Increase minority access to capital"...Again, really? Thanks, Barry! The boondoggle just goes on and on and on.
<<Wow...that's really pretty pathetic. Only ONE promise on the page you cited had been fulfilled>>
Well obviously you went beyond that first page to see that there
