It's just disgusting how politics play a part in everything, even handing over a Nobel peace prize to someone undeserving over one of the most selfless people on the planet.

Perhaps you should take your concerns and anger to the Nobel Committee. http://nobelpeaceprize.org/en_GB/institute/contact/

Perhaps she should, but I do appreciate that post highlighting this insanity and I think it does not deserve to receive such a dismissive statement.

It had already been discussed before....exact same post...back in October. Also, considering that the Nobel Peace Prize happened quite some time ago, I don't understand why it is suddenly a big deal again.

I wasn't here back in October, so I was not aware.

I never said the post was inappropriate. I offered the OP the contact information for the Nobel Committee in case she chose to contact them regarding her disgust with their politicization of the Nobel Peace Prize. I encourage anyone who has a problem with them to do the same. Maybe if enough people protest how they choose their winners, they'll change their ways. How that got turned into me being "dismissive" is beyond me.

No you didn't use the word 'inappropriate', what is a better way to sum up what you did say?

If I'm not mistaken, one of the requirements is you have to be alive to receive the Nobel Peace Prize. Thought some one pointed out this woman had already past away before the committee gave it to Gore.

Oh, c'mon, I mentioned the history of this particular topic only after you stated my post was "dismissive." My original post certainly was not, but think what you will.

Here's the Snopes on it. It was an e-mail that was going around. What is unknown is whether Ms. Sendler was really up for a Nobel Prize or not since that is kept secret for 50 years.
