Honestly I think they were probably beaten up, that was a different time, I have no idea. It was non existent to some people and many I am sure did not come out at that time. That is just the way it was, I am not saying it is ok because it is not but that was the mindset.

Sounds like he's expressing the real-life concerns of gays serving openly in the military. Something Obama should take into consideration before willy-nilly repealing DADT.
