Tea Party California Senate candidate Tom Cambpell was just imPalined in favor of Fiorna:
Why? Palin says Fiorina is more electable. In fact, that's not at all clear (see comment below). And Fiorina has a lot of problems with her conservative cred on cap and trade and other issues.
Palin is the Tea Party patron saint. Um, maybe soon to be "was" rather than is, as they wake up to the fact that the rest of us knew for a while - Palin is never what she claims to be.
Really, why? Maybe all that establishment/Murdoch money Palin has been vacuuming up is messing up her head. Maybe that was Palin's plan all along as she used the Tea Party as a platform to increase her popularity, which in her new found status translates directly into more dollar signs in speaking engagements, TV appearances on Fox, book sales and so on.
"Campbell campaign spokeswoman Erin Daly said that "there is not a single poll" that says Fiorina would be the strongest Republican candidate against Boxer.
"I know that Carly continues to say that, but unfortunately, there's no credibility behind that," she said."
So which is it? Is Palin right and the Tea Party is not electable, and Campbell is a liar? Or is Palin throwing her supporters under the bus in a political deal? Unfortunately, methinks both.
