I thought Palin knew Gustafson. In the video, she acted like she'd never seen that woman before.

So the teacher in question got her 15 seconds of fame!

It was Gustafson and creeps like her who filed so many frivolous lawsuits against Palin and her family that they were 500,000 in debt and spending all of their time providing the court ordered paperwork that she decided she could no longer perform as Governor. Maybe if the media and their flunkies had not filed all of those suits - which have since all been thrown out after many months and a ton of money was spent - she would have been able to remain Governor.
If you know anything about getting sued or hauled into court you know that even if you are completely innocent it is going to cost you time and money. Palin did the selfless thing and stepped down when she knew she couldnt give 100% as governor. Maybe a few teachers should take the hint.

Joe the Plumber was a fraud, a deadbeat, and he eventually turned on McCain/Palin.

>>> You must have been watching a different video. No, Sarah Palin did not look good in this exchange.

According to you. She could be handing out alms to the poor and most libs would find some excuse to attack her.

>>> She gave canned, vague answers. Worse, she fell back on her usual cutesy word salad that makes no sense, she was sarcastic, and she said “pleased to meetcha” even though that was a lie.

How do you know she wasn't "pleased to meetcha" that angry liberal woman? She may not have agreed with the attack the woman had on her sign, but that doesn't mean Palin didn't appreciate the exchange...after all, Palin went out of her way to initiate it. As for you thinking her answers were "vague"...yes, to a degree. The reasons she quit were, as I understand them, varied and complex, probably too involved to get into with a hater in a sidewalk exchange.

>>> She completely side-stepped the issue of selling out - quitting the Governor job so she could promote her book and work on a TV show.

Yes, that's just what she's been doing since she left the governorship. Becoming the most influential political pundit in the country was just a coincidence.

>>> Lots of people are bothered by SP, but it has nothing to do with being threatened by her.

Of course it does. If she were "insignificant" then the left would simply ignore her...and yet, the slightest "tweet" sends them into a frenzy of hate and bile...and hanging on her every word. It's very entertaining.

>>> It’s the idea that this joke could think she’s qualified to be anywhere near the White House.

Well, after the joke you guys elected in 2008 the barometer has pretty much been thrown out the window. I hear Rosanne Barr will be the Dems new "hope for change."

>>> (OTOH, when President Obama was campaigning, he treated Joe the (loser)/Plumber with respect, answered his questions, and didn’t have to get all cutesy.)

Uh...uh...uh...uh...you're right...until he discovered that he accidentally revealed his socialist intentions to "spread the wealth around" and then spent the next year mocking and vilifying "Joe." I guess that's what passes for "respect" among liberals.

Liberals always enjoy taking shots at Palin...even if most of them miss. ; )

I think Palin came out looking pretty good. She had the guts to approach someone who was obviously a fervent left-winger, she answered the woman's questions and treated her with respect...a lot more than most politicians would have done. Palin has guts...kudos to her.

I guess the left has to dig this up to try to shed light away from....oh.....the failing economy, continued loss of jobs, Michelle taking extravagant vacations during the worst recession ever, continued high unemployment, out of control spending, corrupt democrats, etc, etc, etc.

I guess when the liberal media refuses to cover the actual news stories....all that is left for them is Sarah Palin.

Oh well.
