In your opinion, which advocacy group or groups in the last 100 years,

Good question, as always. I would have to say the Civil Rights movement, if that qualifies as a "group". No other group has effected as much change, particularly in the legal arena.

IMO when the last 100 years is viewed historically, I believe it will be the Woman's Movement from the Suffragettes and getting the vote to NOW and economic parity (not there yet) and the "right to choose" - although I am pro-life, I don't want the government involved in women's health choices.

The Civil Rights Movement is a close second and I acknowledge how much that movement helped advance women's rights too.

I'll join the rest and say the suffragettes and the civil rights movement lead the way for effective advocacy.
