Good morning ladies,

There has been enough negativity on this board to last a very long time, and I think you will all agree with this.

Come visit my page and say hi!

AMEN Shawna! The ignore button is a wonderful thing! If anyone truly does not wish to have disagreements and negativity on this board they should use it. By reading the posts of those we dislike and/or disagree with and giving in to the urge to fire back at them we're giving them power over us. The reasonable thing to do is ignore them. You regain your peace of mind and they're left to talk to themselves.

If anyone dislikes this board enough to constantly bad mouth it and its members, they WILL be dealt with by Ivillage eventually. Those types of posts can be construed as harrassment when they continue over a period of time and are a source of distress to the majority of the board members. I suggest if those kinds of posts bother you, contact Joyce and let her know that the "anti-board" posts are damaging the supportive nature of this board and giving Ivillage a black eye. She'll handle it.

It is difficult for a board to be consumed in "flames" if everyone refrains from throwing gasoline on it. Those who choose to be disagreeable and negative should be left to smolder alone, while the rest of us get back to helping each other.

Hugs,

Kay

I sure hope you're right Kay,because I'm noticing a trend here. All the fun and informative posts get some negative responses by only a few individuals(though not to the point of violating rules),yet the supportive, roll call, and challenge posts, those individuals do not post to.

While I can and do ignore them,it still brings me down that people who do not need the support from this board, come here and cause so much turmoil.

Your right Bren. The negativity sometimes seems to smother all the good out of this board. On the days I just want to scream at the insanity of it all, I just take a deep breath, feel pity for the negative nellies, and concentrate on the really great gal pals I've made here. Its not easy to do, but it feels darn good ;o]

Big hug,

Kay

Hey everyone. I've been posting on this board since 2001 and the tension is a fairly recent occurance.
