Mulligatawny soup is a spicy Indian soup...it is made with tamarind, toor dal, onion, ghee, coriander, mint leaves, curry, a little cream and other assorted spices.
I have made it fresh but it takes almost all day - I tend to like to take some shortcuts now and then.
I buy the basic spice blending and then mix with my own cooked dal (orange/yellow lentils) and then blend.
