OK the book responses from the other post looks very promising, but the question was what are you reading right now.

What
I also love The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold and Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood by Rebecca Wells.
Anything that captures my attention and a. makes me cry, b. makes me laugh, or c. makes me forget where I am is a great book in my opinion.
Plots-
(from Amazon)* When we first meet 14-year-old Susie Salmon, she is already in heaven. This was before milk carton photos and public service announcements, she tells us; back in 1973, when Susie mysteriously disappeared, people still believed these things didn't happen.
In the sweet, untroubled voice of a precocious teenage girl, Susie relates the awful events of her death, and her own adjustment to the strange new place she finds herself. (It looks a lot like her school playground, with the good kind of swingset.)
With love, longing, and a growing understanding, Susie watches her family as they cope with their grief--her father embarks on a search for the killer, her sister undertakes a feat of amazing daring, her little brother builds a fort in her honor--and begin the difficult process of healing.
In the hands of a brilliant new novelist, and through the eyes of her winning young heroine, this story of seemingly unbearable tragedy is transformed into a suspenseful, touching, even funny novel about family, memory, love, heaven, and living.
WORST BOOKS- I can't think of any. Most books have at least SOMETHING redeeming in them.
I loved the Pilot's Wife.........it really got me thinking.
That's another one I have but haven't read yet.
Five stars for "Lovely Bones"!
Here are some more of my book reviews through Amazon.
"Most evil men and women in history" by Miranda Twiss
4 stars
I have been reading this book for the past week and it's a great bedtime book. Each story is about 5-6 pages long and it's just right for me. When I go to bed, I am already tired so I only read a few pages to get myself settled in and relaxed. The short stories are perfect for people who only read a little at a time. It's also a good bathtime book.
Some of the mentionables would be Josef Stalin, Adolf Hitler, Prince Vlad Dracula, Countess Elizabeth of Bathory, and Attila the Hun. There is also Nero, Ivan the Terrible, Pol Pot and Bloody Mary. The stories range from the first century AD to present day.
It's great seeing how these people started out in their lives and how they ended up. The drama is nonstop. Hope you enjoy.
By the way, I encourage everyone to harp on down to the FOR FICTION LOVERS board on IVillae.
Jenz .... my grandmother got a major wakeup call from my 10 yo 2nd cousin (who was like 8 at the time) about Harry Potter LOL
she's very hardcore christian, and i thought we were gonna hafta call in an exorcist when she found out 2 of her grandchildren are obsessed with harry potter .... when mari jane (YES, she was named after the herb ROFL) says "Nanny, duhhhhh, everyone knows wizards aren't real, its just a book!" LOLOL
she's chilled out a bit after that since she realized that kids aren't stupid and they know that that type of magic isn't REAL lol
