The most thoughtful gift would have to be a gliding rocking chair to my 75 year old granny...she was using an old worn down recliner..she loves her new chair!!!
What is the most thoughtful gift you gave this year?
My sister in law and I put together a photo calendar for my mother inlaw of her3 grandchildren. It made her cry. I also put together a photo frame for my husbands exwife with photos of her 4 kids (she doesn't have custody of any of them) and she loved it.
What's the most thoughtful one you received?
a winter coat, from my mother in law. I haven't had one in years because they're expensive!
This year I made dishtowel angels and bunnies for the adult females and bath towel elephants with bubble bath for the kids.Homemade was the way to go this year for me :)and no one believed that I made them.
The best gift I recieved was a framed poem with pictures my Mother-in-law did up.The poem was Before I was a Mother, which she made my sister-in-law and me read outloud...needless to say,I couldn't finish my parts, lol.
I am so sorry you had a bad christmas. I too had a pretty bad one. My husband and I fought all day and my parents did nothing but critcize me, I hope things get better, if you ever want to talk, i'm here.
The best gift I got this year was a foot spa. It is so calming and wonderful. The best gift I gave this year was a new electric razor to my husband, I got it for him because he can only use a regular razor once before it is dull. He loved it.
No KIDDING! Me TOO! Hubby and I fought too. Started off stupid little things, then escalated to some unresolved issues we have. Then my parents show up as I'm walking into my back yard shed where I keep my motorcycle (to cool down). I sat on my motorcycle and thought "Oh phuck, do I have to go in the house?!"
My mom's radar was up (she reminds me of those things from "Tremors" that can sense infra-red in this respect) and she knew something was up. Unfortunately, my mom and I don't have the best of relationships. At best, she is only mildly annoying. At worst, she is nosey, tactless, gossipy, and trivializes hurt that others may be feeling. SO I stayed the kitchen hoping they would leave. I'm sure they only showed up to make sure that I was actually cooking dinner for
you poor girls....MERRY FRIGGIN CHRISTMAS,,,,,Mine was crappy too...SO had surgery so we didn't have a dinner..I ate cold potato salad from Albertsons and stale cupcakes that I guess had been sitting in the bakery for a few days...So Joe(so) and I just slept the day away and it was pretty uneventful..but we are alive and have 2 beautiful children so I am happy and thankful; for them ...TODAY:::SO is a total turd and I am going to shoot him in the head with icesicles.....if only it was cold here and we had a freeze...CRAPPP!!!!
I gave the girl I'm seeing a gift certificate for a pedicure/manicure so she could pamper herself.
Mom and Dad totally floored me when I got a four-cycle weed eater that I'd been eyeing for months now. And my sister got me an "ECU alumni" tie, and I got a black Spider-Man tie from the girl I'm dating.
