Hey Karrie!

Welcome here first of all!

Second, I go to a nutritionist. Maybe you should make an appointment with one at your local women's clinic or hospital. Mine has been so helpful and motivating!

Also, if you start cutting down and excercising, you can go to fitday.com and keep track of everything you are doing everyday to lose weight.

You've made the first step!! That's the hardest part!

Welcome, Karrie!

As far as where to begin, take a look at the suggestions offered to beccan81 in a post near here (up or down, depending on what's been posted last). You can find that thread here. Lots of good advice there!

Thanks so much for all the good advice and the great welcome. I have contacted my doctor to see who she will refer. I am hoping the thyroid disease i have won't lend itself to be a problem but as long as i get healthier i am happy.

So anyone in houston?

Hiya- I have a thyroid condition and PCOS and I am so far successful- it's harder, but definitely doable.

Welcome!
