Not to mention finger crossing, and any good old fashioned gris gris anyone can conjure or has to time to offer on my behalf!

First of all- my kids are both sick, and I am worried. My son's flu is so bad that he hasn't even got the energy to get off the couch. I had to help him to the bathroom this afternoon. And he is NOT my clingy, dependent child. DD has caught it too, but is still mild in comparison.

Second of all- my husband has been encouraged to apply for a recruiting position with the National Guard and has a good chance of getting it! If he takes it we have to move an hour south and that's not too appealing to me. I don't know anyone there, and it's difficult to move the kids around when they've just become accustomed to here. BUT, it would mean that DH'd be making 3X what he makes in a month at his civilian job now, and the living paycheck to paycheck days would be less frightening. We have both always believed making sacrifices to ensure I could stay home with the children is worth it, but this would mean less sacrificing and easier breathing all around. I really want him to get it.

So, thanks in advance for any vibes you can give!

Yes on the dr- Ramey threw up his first meds, (Tamiflu) and is now on symmetrol, and Bean is taking the Tamiflu. Ramey's on Compazine to stop throwing up too, and Bean isn't throwing up yet. Ramey's also taking antibiotic eyedrops because his eyes are terribly bloodshot.

I had to go to a new pharmacy because the Walgreens here can't get the symmetrol for a while- the manufacturer is tapped out because of the high flu rates all over.

Oh, Mel, I'm so sorry your kids are so sick! Poor babies! I'm sending good vibes that they both feel well soon, and that you stay flu-free so that you can continue to be their comfort.

About your DH's job offer, wow... 3x the salary sounds

Wow, I'm so sorry to hear about your kids having the flu. I hope they feel better soon. This has been such a tough flu season this year.

Also, good luck to your DH on the job. I know it will be difficult to relocate, but I'm sure you'll meet a lot of new people. And in the meantime, you always have us!
