Sorry ya'll if I didn't answer your posts. I will get to them. I was having problems posting for some reason. I did OK on the first 2 days of this new goal BUT the weekends tanked. Remind me not to get so busy that I forget to eat. It was a busy weekend but I was being socail again and had one event after another to go to. I was so glad that I was able to do that again that I was too wired to sleep. Of course today was a bum day to try and plan things. There is the problem for me time and getting organized in that short period of time I do have. How is everyone today?

Hi, it's good that you're going out =) but not that your sleep is slacking. I am sure that after awhile you will get back in the swing of things

My sister always covers the area with a layer of baking soda, grinds it in, and then pours vinegar over it so it will fizzle up all through it. Then she sops it up with an old towel and rubs a bit of lemon or orange oil or peel on the area (as a rule, cats don't care for citrus) We're a pretty homeopathic family so we try to keep things as natural as possible.

LOL! I DEFINITELY think selling the house might be a tad overkill....

Hope the baking soda works. BTW- pouring baking soda down your drains and then following with a cup of vinegar keeps bad smells and clogged drains away.

Another alternative to get rid of the kitty smell is Febreze. It's usually located in the laundry section of the grocers. I picked up a bottle of the Extra Strength Febreze and it works great on those little "lingering" accidents.
