So, lets get to know each other and maybe boost your plan's awareness! You never know if someone (like me) is looking into all of them and could use the nuts and bolts of it all!

Post the following info:

Name and State/Province

Starting/present/goal weight

Method you're using to lose weight

How long you've been working this method

What are the benefits?

What are the downsides?

If you think of anything else that might be helpful to someone that's looking into your plan/method, add more info!

PLAY NICE OR DON'T PLAY! I've got 6 kids and I can smell an argument a mile away! Just be nice or don't bother posting. You'll get nowhere with negative input here, I'm sure you already know that!

I'll even start it off!

Sheila - Southern CA

250ish and I need to be 150ish

Right now I've not settled on a plan. I research them all trying to find the right fit for me but haven't settled in yet. I've got a few issues with each of them (I analyze everything to death - hubby calls in my analysis paralysis) and need to figure out which is the one that I can live with long term to make the lifestyle changes.

For me, I know that carbs is an issue. But, I get very fiesty and stubborn when I'm forced to choose from a list of "authorized" foods - no matter how many there are! I'm busy with 6 kids and the 2 big dogs, I own my own business in our home too so there's never a dull moment and I don't want to "think" about a plan. On the other hand, I'm sure if I'd get into a plan I wouldn't have to "think" about it after all!

I'd like the plan I settle on to be about "me" and not just my weight. I know there are several that could fit the bill... it's the analysis paralysis!

I can't wait to hear what all you are doing to lose weight!

Name and State/Province: Tina from Atlanta, GA

Starting/present/goal weight: 266/260/160?

Method you're using to lose weight: My own methods including lotsa water, simply prepared foods (steamed, boiled, or broiled mostly), and exercise.

How long you've been working this method: Since Jan 2, 2004

What are the benefits? Flexibility, I suppose...

What are the downsides? It is too easy to cheat when there aren't any hard and fast rules. I, too, have done my research and know I need a more specific plan. I am leaning towards WW, and will keep ya'll posted.

If you think of anything else that might be helpful to someone that's looking into your plan/method, add more info! I think that having a buddy is key, and I'm still looking for one!! :)

Best of luck to you! :)
