Ok we all have been there ever try to start an exercise video and feel like a BEACHED WHALE??

That is how I felt last night with the new pilates video a girlfriend gave me! Man it was upsetting..(started to cry laying there on my mat thinking how did I get here). But instead of staying upset, I got up turned it off and found something I could do!

My FAV are the Leslie Sansone WALK AWAY THE POUNDS

I CAN ACTUALLY DO THEM!!!

Anyone else like them?

What about the WALK AWAY ABS or FIRM videos?

I love Leslie Sansone's walk away the pounds! I have 3 sets of her videos. I have the original ones (at least I think they're the original from an infomercial from a few years ago), walk away the pounds for abs and walk away the pounds express. I also have the firm tapes, but I find that they are not as easy to follow, so I'm trying to learn them a little at a time, just doing what I feel comfortable doing. I figure if I keep at it, then eventually I'll be able to do them more easily. I haven't tried the pilates tapes yet. I know a few of the ladies here like them, but I haven't tried them yet.

I love Walk Away the Pounds, Tae Bo (too advanced for a beginner though), and I am a huge advocate of THE FIRM!

While I own dozens of workout videos, I'm ashamed to say that many of them are still in their original shrink-wrap.

Of the ones I have tried, I love the Richard Simmons workouts; I have "Disco Sweat", and my Mom has his original "Sweatin to the Oldies". I love to dance, so it doesn't seem so much like exercising. Plus, there are women of all sizes in his videos, so I don't feel quite so intimidated.

I've tried Tae-Bo, but think I need to get in a bit better shape before I could do it on a regular basis.

I also did Leslie for the longest time....its a great routine for people who are just starting out with exercise and is still a good workout for me.

But my favorite now is Kathy Smiths kickboxing.

Ya'll, I'm so with Jennifer, of the five hundred tapes I own, Richard is my favorite, and of his, I LOVE Disco Sweat, espically the killer abs section at the end. Its just so much fun to do the sometimes silly moves with Richard, and I may sound like a nut job saying this, but after giving his tapes a shot, I stopped being such a jerk about him, because you can definitly see how much he cares about helping people out. Its weird but some of the looks he gives the camara its like even though this is taped he knows and understands how hard it is to get up and going sometimes. Anyway, enough of my crazy voodoo talk. My vote goes with Disco Sweat, and a little bit of yoga thrown in on the side when my leg bothers me too much to do anything remotly high impact.

Funny lil story about the Richard Simmons tapes. My mother went out of town one week and I stayed home(had to work). So I invited some friends over and my best friends mother came over too.Our plan was to work out to one of his tapes.Well,we had it turned up so loud that the next door neighbor thought I was having a party...needless to say,he got quite the shock when he saw 3 girls and a mother all working out to a video, one of which was only in her bra and shorts, lol.Don't think he ever came over to see what I was up to again.

I picked up the Walk away the pounds 2 mile tape and so far love it!It's to cold outside right now,so this has been a nice addition to my growing collection of tapes.I also like Fat Burning Yoga...which is faster paced then my other yoga tapes, but I really break out in a sweat(nice to know moves and positions ahead of time on this one,so you don't get hurt).
