I voted "other"; I've had a lot of "female" problems over the years, and DH and I had pretty much come to accept the fact that if we ever wanted a child, we'd have to seek out a fertility expert. We were thinking maybe in a couple more years, and in the meantime, I'd get in better shape.

Imagine my surprise to find out a few days ago that I'm pregnant! So, while I don't have kids yet, I do have one on the way!

I don't have any kids....and I think I am too selfish to have kids. Roger would be a wonderful daddy, but I am afraid of being a bad mom. I have a short temper, even with my nephew Devon. I love to play with him, but like, Monday night I had to go to work, and he wanted me to play with him, and I just wanted to watch TV and relax before work...I was like "I will play blocks ONE TIME! And then I am gonna watch TV okay?" Like, sometimes I just have to get away from him. And it makes me upset sometimes when I stop and look at how mean to him I can be b/c he just loves me to death. I basically helped raise that kid, so we are really close, but I still have no patience.

Well, we decided that if we ever have kids, it won't be for about 10 years(I'm 19, he's 22) b/c when we get married in a couple of years, we want to just be free to travel or whatever before having any kids. And IF we have them, we want 2 of course...but we were talking about adopting like, an Asian orphan or something...I would love to adopt a child, but I'm sure he'll want a son one day *rolls eyes*...

I have 1 and I want more...

I have 1 little devil. She'll be 10 in May. She's my everything.

But...my b/f and I have discussed having a baby within the next 5 yrs. I'd like to have one sooner but we have way to much to do before we can bring another child into the mess we call our lives. Still we talk about it every other day. I know he wants one soooner too!! I'm keeping my fingers crossed.. :)

Oh and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS JENNIFER!!! I'm very happy for you!!

Congrats Jennifer!

I have 2 kids (they actually are my husband's from his 1st marriage, but I have raised them since they were 1 and 4.) DS Ramey is almost 9, and DD Rina is 6. I want to have more kids, but I have had those "female problems" as well and don't know if it will be an option.

Well, I kind of have a long story. I've been married for 12 years now to a wonderful guy. We don't have any kids right now. When we first got married, my DH had a business (he owned a gas station) and he went out of business 2 months after we were married! We had to give up our apartment and move in with my family. This was in the early 90's, and for those of you that can remember it, we were in a bad recession, worse than this one (at least I think it was worse!). Well, we couldn't even afford to support ourselves, so a baby was definitely out of the question. We've come a long way since then, and we now both have good jobs, own a home, and financially we could definitely have a baby. A few years ago we decided to start trying. I couldn't get pregnant (lots of female problems, mostly due to my weight) and last year we tried the whole fertility thing. Well, we tried, but I guess we didn't really try that hard. That's when I realized that although I love kids, that maybe I just didn't want to have any. My DH has always kind of gone along with this because it's what I wanted, but he's always been fine with not having any kids. Don't get me wrong, he'd make a great father, but as he put it, he never really had that "paternal instinct". I'm 39 now and my DH is 47 so age is becoming a factor also. Neither one of us is really too old, but we're so set in our ways, and after all these years we enjoy our freedom of doing whatever we want or going wherever we want. So I decided that this year I would finally get healthy and focus on me. If after I lose the weight we decide to give it another go, then we will. But for now anyways, I'm comfortable with the fact that we might not have kids. Maybe we'll think of adopting some day, but I'm not sure yet. Whew! That was a long story, wasn't it? lol!

Congratulations Jennifer!!

As for me, I only have my 17 wonderful 8 year olds that I teach everyday. lol

No kids for now. My BF and I both love kids, and I've always assumed that I will have children one day, but it is not something I am currently planning. I am having way too much fun to have kids right now. Hell- sometimes I feel like my dog weighs me down. Yeah. Definitely not ready for kids. ...Someday...
