Well, I'm just starting out, and I just discovered this board today, and I can guarantee after reading all the wonderful news you guys have for one another that I'll be back! I've got a long way to go and I want to make as much progress as I can, so I appreciate any and all advice. So you guys do weigh-ins on Thursdays, eh? I'll be sure to keep up with it.

I started working out about 2.5 weeks ago, and I've lost about 6 pounds, I think. The scale at my apartment's workout gym is not that fantastic...I'll be using the one at the real gym from now on, so for right now I'll guestimate.

Glad to be here! It's good to know there's other people out there who've made it back from where I am.

Welcome to the boards! Glad to have you here. Congratulations on your 6 lb weight loss, too! You're off to a good start. I agree with Shawna, that Walk away the Pounds is a good program and you don't need a lot of room. I do her tapes a lot and I love them.

Hope to see more of your posts =)

I really appreciate you guys taking the time to welcome me! I'm getting married in June, and my boyfriend and I live together, but it's hard dieting and working out when the other person / people you live with aren't. He eats all sorts of yummy hugely unhealthy and caloric things and it's not really catching up with him yet, and it's hard to pass up. Knowing that there's other people out there who are working towards the same goal I'm working toward (and from the same general AREA) is really helpful. I've always tried to be self-reliant, but this kind of support was lacking and having it is great!

It's not that my boyfriend isn't supportive...it just feels like no one who hasn't been there can really understand.

welcome to the board and congrats on the loss so far. I don't know about your plan or any plans..LOL.., i am exercising and watching what i eat/drink(calories). People weigh in at different times. There'll be a post in celebration section on Fridays and people post whenever their in is there. I personally weigh in & do measurements on Sat.

my eating schedule depends on what i eat/how big meal is. Usually it's Breakfast, lunch, dinner and 1-2 snacks. And water during the whole day and with meals. For snacks/small meals i like granola bar, yogurt, vegetables with dip, broccoli steamed with a lil cheese, toast with jam or lowfat cheese slice. There are a lot of different plans that people use on here-weight watchers, atkins, slim fast, nutritionalist,dr phil and probally more..lol..everyone is very supportive no matter what plan your on =) Good luck and hope to see lots of posts from ya

I am totally thrilled with the amount of response I've gotten here! My job keeps me online all day, and with this kind of support I don't see how I could stray. ;-D You guys are fantastic. Now I want the work day to hurry up and finish so I can go to the gym!
