HI -- I have worked WW plan in the past and am just (yesterday LOL) starting again. You could try just tracking points like beads on a thread. (WW had points bracelets but I am not sure how that would work with the flex points - I would still have to note the points somewhere at the end of the day for like a running weekly tally)
I track more than that with my journal (exercise - vitamins- water- fruits and veggies - milk/dairy) I feel it keeps my intake balanced. I can see where I am denying myself nutrition.
I cannot (or dont seem to) do well on plan without my journal (HOW I HATE HATE HATE TO ADMIT THAT) I dont like to 'write every bite' but it is always such an eye opener for me. I measure and weigh things when I journal (why bother with the notes if I am not gonna be accurate LOL) I plan ahead better. I stand firmer on what I will and wont eat (DH loves breakfast out and I was an easy target- yummy)
When I journal the best - it is because I try to keep it interesting and keep telling myself it takes time to get good habits formed. I like to write motivational sayings into my journal (I use a book I got at the $1 Store) I write in sometimes 2 weeks at a time and by the time I am using the 2nd week I have forgotten the sayings so they are like new.
The best leader I ever saw used the saying- IT'S WHAT YOU DO -MOST OF THE TIME- THAT MATTERS. So remember if you skip a day dont beat yourself up just start again when you are ready. And know you have fellow journal haters hanging in there with you!
