I know you're not supposed to eat within a couple of hours before you go to bed, but what if you aren't hungry before then? Should you eat when your not hungry to avoid eating before bed?

Thanks

You aren't supposed to eat right before you go to bed because you won't be doing a lot of activity to burn it off, but I think if you have a small snack thats pretty low in calories a few hours before you should be ok. ANd try to drink a glass or 2 ofwater when you feel hungry- sometimes you mistake thirst for hunger. Something like a salad or raw or steamed veggies are good choices since they are pretty low in calories and veggies contain a lot of fiber which makes you feel fuller faster.

you're not supposed to eat 2 hrs before you go to bed. To lose the weight you need to change bad eating habits and eating before bedtime, expecially a meal is a very bad habit. I also don't understand what's the diet advice conflict? did a doctor tell you it's ok to eat before bed?

no, the conflict is that I'm not hungry for dinner at 5, I'm hungry at 7 or 730 & I go to bed at 9 or 930. And dinner usually has the most calories. So, I know I'm not supposed to eat dinner right before bed, so other than just skipping dinner and starving when I get to bed, I guess that means I should make myself eat when I'm not hungry at 5. That's what I was trying to figure out.

Not only that, but when you eat you are boosting your metabolism.

Thank you, that was exactly what I wanted to know. And you are right, I eat dinner later because I eat breakfast & lunch later too. I work out in the morning, then I'm just not hungry for awhile.

If diet advice didn't conflict, then the diet industry wouldn't be a multi-billion dollar affair. You should use your own judgment, of course. But didn't you already know that?
