Okay, ladies. I have lurked, I have posted and now I'm pleading. Let these posters who want to "stir the pot" just be ignored. They don't listen, they keep repeating the same things over and over, and although they are adding drama---well, we've all got enough inour lives, don't we.

I want to lose weight, not argue or debate w/people who won't listen to anyone but themselves.

I know I'm not a "CL" (or what ever our leaders are called), but I'm a poster, I love this board, and I admire all of you guys for your support.

Lets leave them alone and maybe they'll go away.

Hi, I think there's a difference in how people respond to the posters who like to 'stir the pot'. when they say something hurtful to a board member then it's easy to lose your temper and stand for them/yourself(there's a lot of women who respond very classy and i wonder how..lol), but the posts that are just silly i think should be ignored. CL-Rely has made posts saying this is a support board, it's there somewhere. You just can't control how people react or the people who come here to caus trouble and pain. Have a great evening Dawn from Dawn..LOL

Alright. I have to admit, my claws came out today and I had to stop myself before I made a post I would have regretted. I am sorry if any of you were offended by me, because I wouldn't want to hurt the supportive members of this board for anything in this world. You've all kept me sane lately and I adore you! I have to admit that ignoring them is a better plan. I think perhaps if we as a group- you know, the actual group of people who are supporting each other- all choose to use the ignore post function of all of the people who we would label as trolls, perhaps he/she/it/they/whatever would get tired of being ignored and find somewhere else to talk to himself/herself/itself/themselves/whatever. You're right- if we stop feeding the fire perhaps it will burn itself out and we will all end up better for being able to let them burn themselves out. It is a shame that we have to even consider that because on occasion he/she/it/they/whatever have had useful information, but I'd rather risk missing out on a tidbit of useful info than have my heart and the hearts of those I care about hurting because of that/those poster(s).

So, I have to agree that if we ALL agree not to respond to him/her/it/them/whatever then I think that unity could make his/her/its/their/whatever attitude stop. At least, we wouldn't care anymore. I think the peacemakers have just as valid points as those whose claws come out, and since it hasn't worked with the claws, let's give the peacemaker's plan a chance.

Sidenote- I FULLY expect this to get much worse before he/she/it/they/whatever realize we won't be baited and continue to leap at them. I am tired of the reflexive need to attack that they bring out in me, and don't like feeling like an animal whose chain falls just short of being able to maul the cretin with the stick, metaphorically speaking. How about we all agree to let him/her/it/them stew in their own malice and keep the ick off of us.

Love ya Gals!

Hi Everyone. I certainly did not want ANYONE to think that I was critizing (sp?) them--well, the wonderful ones, that is. I totally understand everyone's desire to defend those of us who come under attack--this last attack on Mel was sickening--I just thought that if we pretended their posts didn't happen (the ones they initiate, especially) then maybe the fun would go out of it for them and they'd go elsewhere.

Hope I didn't offend anyone and sorry if I did.

You're fine, Hon. I think we all get our heckles up when dealing with these cruel posters. I appreciate your being offended on my behalf, and I think you're right that ignoring them may work. It works with child bullies, and it's the advice I give my kids so I should be willing to follow it as well.
