Hello

My name is roberta and I keep failing at my diet maybe I try to hard and I am hard on myself. I am confused about what diet is best for me . I do know that everyday I wake up and say I am going to do this and I do it for most of the day then fail. Recently I was doing ww's for 2 weeks lost a bit then we had a pot luck at work and just couldn't get back on track I need to do something . I am hoping that with this group I will get the support I need to continue my journey and stay with it.

Hiya Roberta! I'm glad you decided to join us. I know how hard it can be to try and fail again and again as I am sure almost (if not all) the ladies on this board do. It helps me not to think of eathing healthy as

Hi Roberta and welcome. I have been cutting back on calories and sweets, but as soon my DH leaves I am going to start doing a low carb diet. I did really well on it in the past, but it is just too hard to do when he is around. (He want's to eat something different etc) Good luck and I hope you find lots of support. sharla

Hi Roberta, the are a lot of programs out there, maybe try looking into a diff one? There's Body for life, counting calories,dr. phil, weight watchers, south beach, atkins, slim fast. While you try to decide which looks best for you i would recommend keeping track of what you eat& drink, make body measurements(there may be times the scale stays the same or goes up a lb or 2 because your're building muscle but you will probally still lose inches so that's why it's a good idea to do body measurements) and try exercising program

i am doing my own thing-keeping track of what i eat/calories(trying to keep it between 1250-1455 a day); drink at least 70 oz water a day; and exercise 5-6 days a week. I also do weekly weigh in and measurements. I keep track of my exercise, measurements+weight on my webpage to help motivate me.

The board does a weekly weigh in-posted on fridays but you can post it whenever, also we have a exercise min. logg where you can keep track of daily exercise minutes, and a daily menu post where you can post what your menu is/was for the day. I hope you enjoy the board and the help it offers. Good Luck =)

Hey Roberta!

welcome to the 100+ board, and I hope you feel at home here b/c all the ladies in this board are great and very supportive. Have you ever considered a dietitian?? They are totally great, and they give you a personalized diet to go by.
