2 topics

first, In the holistic reading I have done, they said you should drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of water a day. So, if you weigh 150 pounds, you should drink 75 ounces of water a day.

2nd. Does anyone else worry that if they lose all their weight, they will end up with pounds of excess skin that can only be removed with surgery? Am I the only one who is confident of needing breast reconstruction if I ever do reach my goal weight? I'm STILL a 40DDD (40E) even though I've lost a lot of weight and they do hang low.

LOL..i didn't know there was a debate on saggy skin..

i'm hoping i don't have saggy skin but if i do it will just give me motivation to keep working on it.

As for the saggy breast i know a few people who had lifts/implants after kids.

There's no scientific or medical basis for the claims that water consumption needs to be so high. (This has actually been in the news recently). Most of your daily water requirements will be met through the foods you eat, and the rest through fluid intake. If you're a regular coffee/tea/or soda drinker, those fluids count, too. Personally, I drink about 24 oz. of water during my workout (more or less depending on how thirsty I get), and the rest of my fluid intake is through milk, diet soda, or juice. I'd be surprised if I drink 64 oz. of anything, let alone 100 oz. of water!

As for saggy skin, how much sagging you'll experience depends on your age, whether you've had children, and, most importantly, how fast you lose weight. I haven't noticed any sagging, and I'm honestly not worried about it. I'm only 23, and I'm losing maybe 2 pounds a week. My breasts aren't shrinking as fast as the rest of me though...but they're surprisingly perky for their size.

Like other people have been saying it depends on a lot of factors, but also people are drastically different. Two people may have gained the same amout of weight in the same amount of time and also lost it in the same amount of time and one could have sagging skin and the other might not.

Sarah...from everything I've read, 2 factors play more than anything else into the saggy skin problem...the rate at which you lose, and more importantly, age.
