I can sympathize with the vertical challenge- I am 5'3" and a teensy bit oversensitive about it. As in, I once groined a man with my knee for calling me shorty in a bar. I was drunk. He didn't press charges. His wife laughed, so I figured he deserved it lots anyway.

The eggplant ones intrigue me. I USED to have kickbutt knee-high boots that were purple pleather with lots of glitter. They matched my hair at the time, and they had 5 inch heels. Then I wasn't single anymore and they're not exactly PTA type shoes. LOL!

I have purple suede granny boots and lavender strappies with a clear plastic heel that I am convinced look like Cinderella's glass slipper.

Oh, and Stephanie Plum is a character in a series the girls were telling us about in chat on Sunday. I got the first 3 Tuesday at the library and read them all by yesterday evening. I got 4, 7, and 9 today because 5, 6, and 8 are checked out (DARN IT) and I already finished number 4 and it's as good as the others. She's a former lingerie buyer turned bounty hunter. There's a hot Italian cop, a crazy grandma, a former hooker, a drag queen rock star and a hot Cuban man named Ranger so far. Oh, and it's freaking hilarious! The books are by Janet Evanovich and if you get a chance, you'd probably love them.

Well ladies I am 5'8 and in heels I can easily end up around 6. So for him to be taller than I am at 5'8 in 4 inch heels is GOOD!!

Wow, the purple suede ones you have sound excellent. Actually I wear 5-6" heels everywhere and with everything that most people don't realize I'm only 5'tall. I'm still single however, even when/if I get married and when/if I have children I think I may still wear my heels. Something I don't think I can give up. I'm a shoe maniac anyways... Yeah just went to Janet Evanovich website and I'm going to the library Saturday to pick up as many as I can!!!!!!! Thanx!

that's excellent.,....thank heavens both of my husbands have been 5'9. If they were any taller my grandmother never would have stopped with the Mutt and Jeff jokes. (insert rolling eyes)

So.........what's next with you and your suitor?

What time should I call.......I will make sure the kids are confined to one room so I can hear details! LOL! I don't watch soap operas....I live through my friends. ;-)

Marriage shouldn't interfere with good shoes. I will always mourn my lovely pleather boots that my mother said made me look like a streetwalker. LOL!

Besides, if you're lucky (like me) you could end up with a husband who likes heels.......

You'll love these books. I was telling my husband about them and he even said they sound good. That's a big thing coming from a man who generally avoids estrogen-based literature.

Sunday afternoon- well, since you go to the same church as night follows day it's TOTALLY natural to go out and have a bite to eat after church. You could have lunch, go to the park and sit and chat, all sorts of things.

Anyway, Sunday afternoon is built in since you'd already have a common meeting place.

I can say I didn't give anything up til I got married the first time.

When it comes to Rob- first day we met in person. In my defense I'd been celibate since 1st divorce, and we had been talking and emailing and mailing and chatting for months.
