Are your family and friends supportive of your weightloss journey?

  • Yes! Everyone is excited to see me shed those pounds!
  • Most people are, but some are not supportive and can be discouraging.
  • Only my close family is suppportive of me.

Well, my parents TRY to be supportive, but always end up "You want some CAKE??? Triple chocolate fudge!!!" or "Let's go get some burgers and shakes!!" I mean, C'MON PEOPLE!! My mom does buy the low-fat stuff I ask her to. I have my own set of food basically...and THEN my boyfriend, who is proud of me, but doesn't want me to lose the weight..he says he oves me how I am and doesn't want me to change(i think b/c he thinks I'll leave him if I look too good), but I always tell him when I lose weight and he always tells me he's proud of me...but my friends at school help me out...when I finish my lunch, and want to get some cookies or a soda, "Sara, sit down you don't need that." And I tell them to tell me that so they are a big help. he do what I ask.

I couldn't pick one.I usually don't tell anyone when I'm trying to lose weight.I figure it makes it easier on me if I fail, yet when I know I'm doing great on it,and people notice..I feel awesome.More so then if people knew ahead of time I was trying to lose, kwim?

My family is very unsupportive. Well technically they would be excited to see me lose the weight, since I've apparently somehow screwed up their life because I'm fat and it's just something else they can find wrong with me. (But they are larger people too and the reason I became fat is they thought I used to be anorexic looking when I was a kid (even though looking at pictures of back then I wasn't THAT thin, I was just about average size) and they started making me eat more. My close friends are very supportive though which helps. But I'm doing this for myself and I can be rather stubburn lol so I think I'll stick with it even though my family is very unsupportive.

My fiance is really supportive. He even agreed to join in on my new diet with me (VERY RELUCTANTLY) but, has been a million times more supportive than I expected. I am doing BFL and every other day you do interval cardio, which has been treadmill torture. I couldn't make it without him next to me cheering me on.
