Shawna ~ I know what you mean. I have been craving pizza for about 2 weeks now and more seriously for about 5 days. I still haven't had a piece (or a whole pizza!) yet. I just keep contemplating and thinking bout it. I really makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Being on Atkins, it's the thing I miss most. My sister told me just to have some and then deal with the guilt just so I don't drive myself crazy...and everyone else around me. It seems like every commercial I see is for pizza and every show I watch they're eating pizza. My world is consumed with it right now. Nothing I do is getting rid of that craving. I'm secretly planning a pizza jungle run this weekend. But the worse part of it is that I'm justifying if I have pizza, what else am I missing should I sneak in while I'm at it. Right about now, I'm feeling I can deal with cheating and just go for it then after, be real good again. So, I'm right there with you!

Gimme the number of that restaurant and I will call and tell them to be on the lookout for you and to make sure they slip something scary into your burrito... ;-)

Honestly, I DO get like this. My biggest motivator NOT TO CHEAT is this pic of me on the desk. Rob loves this pic of me in my high school band uniform. I have a waist. I am smiling. It's a good pic. I have it right where I can see it from ANYWHERE in this room. When I reach my goal I want to have a pic of me taken that I can put in a frame and not have to admit that it was taken 10 years ago.

BUT I know sometimes you have to have something that's off plan. Otherwise you feel resentful of the healthy choices you make and it's harder and harder to stick to things over time. If you're thinking of doing it too often make yourself a penalty plan. For every point you go over your planned points you have to do 10 mins of an exercise you HATE and have Rich police you on it. Unless he's like Rob and shrugs it off and says I don't care if you eat it. Here, have some of mine too. Grrrrrrr.

I do all the time. I was just getting depressed over the pizza hut add that popped up when I logged on a few minutes ago. The only thing saving me is that we don't have half those places around here. Why don't you eat half of one and then consider it your reward for the week. I would go as far as saying that if I say on program all week then I could reward myself.

oh yeah..same here..i called Joe and threw a titty fit untill he said "ok order some pizza"And what did my ognorant butt do? Ordered a coke too! I havent had a drop of coke in over a month and the cravings were so minimul..it really wasnt that good either but sure enough I had 2 glass fulls...grrrrr..so I am not eating for the rest of the weekend LOL so I can stay under 270..grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr (JK ON THE NOt eating dont whip me)

I'm that way with fried chicken I can eat about 5 pieces by myself. So today when I had a craving, I didn't go to my usual place that cooks it just right, (I'm a real stickler for the correct doneness and everything) I went somewhere where I know they won't cook it right, and I ordered 2 drumsticks, and as I suspected soon as I bit into it was not done enough, and chunked it in the trash, and the second piece too. Now the craving is gone. And I love potato chips so now I buy the cheap version which I dont like and bite into one and trash the rest. I really has to suit my taste for me to eat it. Onions work to.

YOu sound so much like me! I love the burritos from Chipotle (we don't have your restaurant but from what you described its about the same stuff on it and I looked it up on a calorie counter website and it can have as much as 1200 calories with everything on it!) But since I've started watching what I eat, I order it without sour cream, and usually get the chicken one (sometimes veggie, or beef, or steak-they're all soooooo good!). I can't live without the cheese so I still get that. I usually try to gauge what I'm going to eat the rest of the day and what I already had to see how good I have to be (but I found out that I can even go slightly over 2000-2200 calories and can still lose weight so that helps -its still less than I used to eat so if I want to make it a splurge day and get everything on a burrito I'm technically still eating less than before even though it seems like so much more than I eat now (I try to get between 1500-1800 calories a day)). But if I need to be really good I'll get the burrito bowl without rice and load up on lettuce and a couple different salsas, or if I'm semi-good I'll get a burrito with no rice and no sour cream and lots of salsa instead. Or if I really want a burrito with the rice I'll ask them to put just a little bit of rice (1/2 or 1/3 of it) on the burrito and when I'm eating it I won't eat the very ends which are just the flour tortilla and also sometimes pull off pieces where theres a double or triple layer from how it was folded. Or try going there with a friend and splitting a burrito (I do this a lot too). We'll usually get it to go and then have a salad or something with it and the 1/2 burrito still helps the cravings! I don't know if your place has smaller soft tacos (at Chipotle you get 3 soft tacos if you order them) but at Chipotle 3 of the smaller tortillas had like 100 less calories than the one big one. Hope some of those ideas help!

I was REALLY craving pizza the other day! I made the closest thing I could to it though. I took a whole wheat pita and cut up some fresh tomato, then onion, cooked chicken breast, black olive slices, basil, oregano and LF cheese. Baked it for about 15 mins and it was really good. It reminded me of California Pizza Kitchen pizza. Best part is it was only like 200 calories. On BFL you have 1 free day a week and tomorrow is mine so I will be headed to Popeyes (I'm drooling just thinking about it!).
