Hmm I must not be doing something right, because I don't like this site. It doesn't have half of the things I eat and the portions are hard to figure. I mean how do you adjust a handful? But i am so excited it's working for you...doing dance of joy for you

I hated it in the beginning!!

Now I really like it because I can plan my day and punch everything in...if I don't like the number of calories then I take some of the stuff out. I can see how much I'm going to consume before I even consume it! I feel like a psychic. LOL. Crazy, I know.

I really don't like the exercise part but I'll fill in my gym stuff. Do I really count how many times a day I go up the stairs? No. That part is a waste of time.

Oh well, like you said...It's Free!

I did do that, but I just don't have the time OR patience to put down every little thing that I eat, plus my nutritionist doesn't like me counting every little calories...she doesn't want me to get obsessive about that stuff...but i like to monitor my exercise and some calorie counting.

Sara,

My dietian doesn't want me to count anything either and I agree with her.

The whole goal for that in my case is that I learn to listen to my body and to eat normally without worry about oh dear I ate an ounce more here than should be.

However, I still don't like that site. They don't h ave breakfast tacos!!!!

Yes, it's very good. A fine way to count the calories and keep track, but it can also be a way to pay too much attention and take up too much time. I use to use it also, and found it very helpful, but then I found I was spending too much time on it. For me at least, the old fashioned notebook and simple calculator has worked best lately.

I've tried fitday.com but also there is one linked off of GNC's site that I found to be a lot better - the BMI chart is at least more accurate for my body type at least with just height weight and were only off by some where as the fitday one had my body fat % really high (almost 20% more than actual)(I've actually had it done with skin fold calipers so I know about where I'm at). Also the food and exercise choices are very limited and I found that always putting custom is a pain. Here you can save favorite meals that you eat often so if you eat the same sandwich every day you don't have to pick every ingredient in it each time once you set it as a meal. The vitamins and supplements category is based off GNC products but if you use any you can find something similiar to it. And you can pick from goals-lose weight, build muscle, diabetes, heart health so if you need to track something else besides for the basics you can too. Plus you can make the portions smaller than like 1 cup (like you can say you at .5 of a 1/4 cup serving and it will calculate it) and a lot of stuff like cheese give you different options for how to count it (ex: so many cups shredded vs inch cubes vs ounce slices, etc) .
