That got your attention!!

Cottage cheese is a good source of protein, low in fat and easily available. If you eat cottage cheese, how do you eat it? Plain? Or in something else?

This morning I'm having pink cottage cheese. I put 1 part low fat cottage cheese and 1 part strawberry yogurt. I tried to eat it plain before but obviously I have a texture problem.

I'm looking forward to eating cottage cheese this way...

COTTAGE CHEESE NACHOS

fat free cottage cheese

lean or extra lean ground beef)

some tomatoes/green peppers or salsa

some tostito low fat baked sour cream and cheese tortilla chips

This may sound weird, but I can remember my mom doing something to cottage cheese when I was young. I'm not sure where she found it (might have been WW) but it was surprisingly good. Mix sugar-free powdered jello in it. Can't remember the ratio, but probably just enough to give taste.

Anyone else heard of this treat.

I have a similar recipe-

1 lb. creamed cottage cheese

1 sm. box of dry jello

1 c. whipped topping (I used fat free)

Mix it all together and it's really yummy. You can add a can of fruit too if you like.

Ya know whats funny? I made veggie dip using cottage cheese...gave it to my DH and his sister, who both hate cottage cheese, and they loved it.It wasn't until after they ate it that I told them what it was made with ;)
