I know how you feel, but you have to know that even being willing to wear a TANK TOP is something most of us aspire too! I am sure it will all work out. Sorry it was lousy for you though :-(
Shawna ~ I'm right there with ya. And yes, $96 is too much for a suit. Did you try www.newportnews.com I actually found one in there last year that I didn't hate on me. And just think, you're way smaller than me too. Hope you find a solution that makes you feel good!
Even at my thinnest I thought I looked awful in a swimsuit. Don't be so hard on yourself. You've come a long way and you look FANTASTIC. You deserve to feel good about yourself!!!
Try to remember where you were a year ago and think of how you would have looked then. You look so much better now and I bet you have a ton more energy. It is still early in swimsuit season. Keep looking and you might find something you like better that isn't too expensive. sharla
Shawna, if you want to wait we have suit shops all down the beach…. Everyone advertises sales constantly…. What are you doing here in Biloxi? Casinos? If you have any questions about this place give me a holler I can give you some info… if you need you are welcome to have my phone number incase you need any help of some sort….. I live right across the 110 bridge hope you have fun here…. and tip #1.…….stay out of the gulf water!! You never know whats in there lol…that’s the one thing besides heat that I don’t like about this place is our beach water is so blahhh because of all the shrimp boats and everything… and because of barrier islands we don’t get waves… go figure….. Have a great day let me know if you need anything….
Growing up in Florida, it never occurred to me that wearing a swimsuit was an *option*. I was always going to the beach, pool, lake, or spring with family or friends, and learned to make sue with what I was. The only time I ever felt uncomfortable was 1) a third date when the guy suggested going tubing at a spring... I don't think he was ready for my thighs in the light of day -lol and 2) last summer, at my near-highest weight, on a beach in New Hampshire with my coworkers who were all skinny mini medical students. That was the only time I have EVER left my shorts on at a beach. I think I was literally out of my comfort zone there.
Now, I would tell you go to target and pick out the best they have. Wear shorts if you want. It's more important to have fun than anything else... but you know all that.
Sorry swimsuit shopping has caused you such stress. Hope you find something and that you have fun in Biloxi regardless.
sorry you had a bad time with the suits Shawna..even back when i was in shape i always felt bad in a bathing suit, i always had a towel wrapped or hung on me..lol... I know it was my self-image and hopefully i can get over that. Good Luck finding a suit ya like!
