Shawna-- Proud Cl for 100 Pounds or More to Go
Pages
I am not following any particular diet, except the eat resonable portions of healthy foods and try to burn more calories than you consume- one.
1. If you could go anywhere this summer, where would you go? On a cruise. Can't afford that right now though.
2. Do you plant flowers or raise a garden? What do you grow? Nope. I kill plants. Not on purpose of course, but they die all the same.
3. What is something that you are passionate about? Causes? Politics? I teach, so I have to say that I feel passionate about children, parenting, and funding for education. I am also becoming more and more passionate about political issues (including raising minimum wage, right to choose, and gay rights - even though I don't make minimum wage, have never had an abortion, and am not gay)...
4. What book are you reading right now? How do you like it? Would you recommend it? I am reading *Fast Food Nation*!! I am really enjoying it. It isn't quite what I expected (ie: it hasn't made me hate fast food yet- damn!) but it is very interesting.
5. Have a dieting or exercise tip to share? Hmmm... I think my biggest key to success so far has been to tell my friends and coworkers about my diet plans. I never thought I'd be one to talk about my diet food or my progress over lunch, but it has been a huge help. Also, joining Jazzercise (or whatever group works for you)... I am not very motivated to work out here in my living room, right in front of the couch. But my Jazzercise instructors hold class 4 times a week and I am there every time. I pay for it, and there are girls there expecting to see me. It's all about accountability. :)

If not then keep trying don't give up =) And be sure to do body measurements as well as weighing so it will show your progress even when you don't lose.

1. If you could go anywhere this summer, where would you go?
I'd spend the summer on the Cape and Martha's Vineyard with side trips to Newport, RI
2. Do you plant flowers or raise a garden? What do you grow?
Nope, live in a condo complex so no backyard. Suppose I could put flower boxes on my patio but I never seem to have the time. Maybe I'll do that this spring!
3. What is something that you are passionate about? Causes? Politics?
Passionate about a lot of things like cooking, music, my family and friends. As far as causes, I work with a battered women's shelter every week providing help, support and gather clothing for the women and children there.
4. What book are you reading right now? How do you like it? Would you recommend it?
I read tons of frilly romance novels.
5. Have a dieting or exercise tip to share?
None yet, I get them all from you ladies!
1. If you could go anywhere this summer, where would you go?
Alaska. I love mountains and the open land.
2. Do you plant flowers or raise a garden? What do you grow?
I don't plant anything. I usually kill everything lol!
3. What is something that you are passionate about? Causes? Politics?
I think everyone should have equal rights and opportunities. I get so angry when I hear about someone being discriminated against or hurt or killed because of their nationality, skin color or sexual orientation. We are all different. We should embrace that and learn from each other, not hate each other.
4. What book are you reading right now? How do you like it? Would you recommend it?
I just got "Fast Food Nation" yesterday but haven't started reading it yet.
5. Have a dieting or exercise tip to share?
Don't expect to be perfect. If you make a mistake, don't dwell on it. Instead learn from it. Why did you make the mistake? What can you do to prevent making the mistake again? Changing habits takes time. Just keep trying and don't be so hard on yourself! And drink that water!!!

1. If you could go anywhere this summer, where would you go?
~ My cabin (and I'm going!). Our cabin is partially suspended over the edge of a cliff and below our deck is our lake. It's fed from the mountains by rivers (duh) and waterfalls. We don't have any power but we have lights and appliances that run off propane. There's no phone (but July 2003 we were granted cell phone coverage). It's always HOT there! And the lake is so clean that it's a green-blue color. Beautiful!! It's also on a secure (you need a key for the big gates) island so traffic is minimal. It's my dream honeymoon spot.
2. Do you plant flowers or raise a garden? What do you grow?
~I have a rose garden plus a few flower beds. Plus we plant a garden with carrots, peas, broccoli, cauliflower, beets, beans, asparagus, rhubarb...and a few others.
3. What is something that you are passionate about? Causes? Politics?
~Saving stray animals. I donate to a no-kill shelter.
4. What book are you reading right now? How do you like it? Would you recommend it?
~Does my Real Estate Appraisal textbook count? Or my "How to silkscreen for fun and profit" book? Love them both. Probably not because there are far more interesting books out there.
5. Have a dieting or exercise tip to share?
~Tell someone about you changing your lifestyle that way you're forced to keep your word. It isn't a tip for everyone but so far, it's worked for me!
1.Right now back to the states, but would also like to visit Singapore before we leave.
2.I love to garden. The only thing I can get to grow here are flowers, but someday I would like to try a vegi garden.
3.Not really passionate about causes. I do support breast cancer awareness though.
4.I am reading Dr. Phils book. Haven't got into it enough to know if I reccomend it.I'll let you know if it works. I also just picked up a Nora Roberts book.
5.Take it one day at a time and don't let a bad day set you back. The important thing is to stick with it and you will reach your goal.
