I think it's a Rald Dahl (sp?) book that they made a movie about isnt it? The one with Anjelica Houston where shes the head witch and turns those little boys into mice? Comes on the pay channels a lot. I love that movie!

Tony, 26, 323/280/220, counting calories/portion control

1. If you could go anywhere this summer, where would you go?

>> Europe to visit art museums

2. Do you plant flowers or raise a garden? What do you grow?

>> I do landscaping. I don't know the names of any of the stuff; I just ask the nursery for something that looks good and I don't have to touch after I plant it.

3. What is something that you are passionate about? Causes? Politics?

>> As a teenager, I used to be really passionate about politics. I also thought I could change the world. Then I came to the realization that political systems are too corrupt, and they often corrupt the ones who try to change things. So now I'm just apathetic toward everything, maybe even a bit jaded. I am a fervent existentialist; I exist to exist.

4. What book are you reading right now? How do you like it? Would you recommend it?

>> "Watchmen" by Alan Moore. It's a graphic novel compiling a series of comic books (it's too high-brow for kids though). It's considered the greatest graphic novel in existence.

5. Have a dieting or exercise tip to share?

>> Nope

The Witches by Roald Dahl

Amazon.com

This Roald Dahl classic tells the scary, funny and imaginative tale of a seven-year-old boy who has a run-in with some real-life witches! "In fairy tales witches always wear silly black hats and black cloaks and they ride on broomsticks. But this is not a fairy tale. This is about REAL WITCHES. REAL WITCHES dress in ordinary clothes and look very much like ordinary women. They live in ordinary houses and they work in ordinary jobs. That is why they are so hard to catch." Witches, as our hero learns, hate children. With the help of a friend and his somewhat-magical grandmother, our hero tries to expose the witches before they dispose of him. Ages 7-12.

My son and I just finished it tonight. It was quite good.

Hey Linda,

I took a helicoptor from Vegas a few years ago & was blown away by the beauty. Me & my friend have been wanting to go back to to the canyon. We were going to go to Puerto Rico but our vacation dates were in hurican season so we decided on the canyon.

We got a cabin at a hotel 13 miles inside the cayon at the north rim. We are also so going to Sedon, Flaggstaff, Route 66, painted desert, petrified forest & the Indian reservations by Winslow, Hoover Dam & Vegas. (we are flying into Vegas)

I can not wait to go. I think that is why I came back to the board. I want & need to get the weight off so I can enjoy my trip & my life for that matter.

Thanks for the good wishes.
