Hi i had a q about how you get your calorie info. I noticed in 2 posts to newbies you tell them to eat 3000 calories, or to take weight x 10/13.

That is soooo high even with hours of exercise. I can't imagine where you would get the info so figured i'd ask.

When I say take your weight and times it by 10/12/13 these numbers are for bodybuilding, bodysculpting, weight lifting and overly active women NOT for ladies who are only focusing on light cardio. For women who are more interested in free weights than cardio it is important to significantly increase your protein and decrease your carbohydrates.

I was also told (by a lady who bodybuilds/sculpts/avid weight lifter) that you could start at that high of a number and then slowly decrease...less of a shock and you're more likely to stick with your diet/way of eating. Or you can decrease as you lose weight.

I do not claim to be a doctor, nutritionist or a dietician but I have taken the advice of local athletes and they seem to work for me.

Information I have received, can also be found at this website...
