Why do you ask? It's a society of women. Those over 50 years old wear red hats and purple dresses; those under 50 wear pink hats and lavender dresses. They do a lot of community service, and have a lot of fun.

Rice Krispies with sugar and HALF AND HALF CREAM!!! It's been years, because it is NOT healthy. I've never liked the "fancy" stuff - give me corn flakes, shredded wheat, etc. - but none are particularly nutritious, so now the only "cereal" I eat is regular oatmeal with a bit of sweetner and a sprinkle of cinnamon. *sigh* - the nasty habits my mother taught me ;-)

In oatmeal, I will use soy vanilla milk. It has enough sweetness in it that I don't need to add sugar. It also tastes good in cereal.

I try to stay away from the concoctions in boxes on grocery shelves, and if I want cereal just make my own occasionally.

There are all kinds of granola, and not all of them have 30 grams of fat nor 25 grams sugar. Have you ever tried making your own? I think there are some low fat, naturally sweetened without sugar types in boxes in the grocery store too. Personally I've never seen a brand matching what you describe. But then, I make my own when I eat granola and mine doesn't have any added sugar, no saturated fat, and it only has 4.5 grams fat (the good kind) per serving. If you like granola, you can read the boxes or make some (it's very easy to do). But this is a ridiculous amount of fat and sugar, so why would you EVER buy a box with stats so high?

Granola can be very healthy for you, but you have to read the packages and choose well. And if you make your own, don't make a recipe with added sugar or any saturated fat. Since you're in control of what you make, it's very easy and a lot of fun to make healthy granola.

It has 10 grams of fat. Still not 0 grams. And 294 Calories. For Heaven's sake, did you even check? Oh, and that's just for a 1/2 cup serving. That does matter, you know.

(BTW, "naturally sweetened" usually means some form of sugar. Sugar is sugar, even if it's in brown sugar or honey or fruit.)
