The reason I am asking is because there are days when I feel as if I am not living up to the goal I need to have for this. I am up at 5, at work 9.5 hours a day, errands to run after work, social events after work at times, bible studies, now dates, and I still need to do my own chores once in a while at home as well. And then if I have a week like this week, where do you put it.

I just would like to know that I am not the only one who has beyond a full day and is finding it hard to fit everything in.

I can understand your frustration! I had to make some changes, for sure. I had to scale my life back a bit with some of the things that I was doing that aren't "necessary", and make sure that I set this as a priority. And to be frank, I almost ALWAYS found time to watch TV for an hour in the evening, generally vegging on the couch with a big bowl of potato chips or a pint of ice cream. Now I still have my TV hour, but I'm on the exercise bike or doing my strength training work out while I do it. It helps me find the time for my exercise and offers me a distraction from thinking about how much I hate it ;-) and keeps me from packing in those extra calories at the same time. I literally do not ALLOW myself to turn the TV on unless I'm working out at the same time. Your schedule sounds pretty full, and it may be hard to figure out where to cut!

I used to have TV time. I am so busy I don't even have that anymore. the TV is on only Thursday evening if I have declared it rest evening or when I have laid down for my nightly nap.

I just don't know how I can do this without scaling back everything during the week and running around ragged during my weekend which is beyond booked all the time.

I've always found it much easier to keep a workout schedule when I'm in school than when I'm working. Right now, I'm in class about 15 hours a week, and I do about 30-45 hours of homework every week, but because I can stagger that schedule, I have lots of time to go to the gym (which, fortunately, is just a block from the law school).

But still, when I'm working on a paper or studying for finals, something has to go, and it's usually my workout.

I was even more active during school but since I lived on campus and it was hilly, I had the chance to walk all over the place.

I am having to figure out how to do this and I must admit it is difficult.

OK well after seeing the poll figures, it looks like I am one of the few people who is either way too busy or I am extremely doublebooked.

Maybe I am lazy and don't know it?

Well, all of my classes are in one building, so if I didn't go to the gym, I probably wouldn't get any exercise at all! It was difference when I was in college and had to walk around campus, up and down four flights of stairs, navigating icy sidewalks, etc.

No advice, really...just sympathy for ya!

I don't think there is any advice. These are choices I need to make, which is going to be hard in the first place. Trying to decide what is important and what isn't...well I don't think I would wish that on anyone.

Though I need to wash my car so I have decided to literally wash it myself and not worry about taking the easy way out. I guess I better go find me a sleeveless tee.
