Hello,

I am a new member here. I am not really sure how this works, but I really need to find some support and thought that this would be a good place to start.

My weight right now is at 240 lbs and it only seems to be getting higher.

I have a bad tendancy to eat a lot of snacks - chocolate, chips - fatty foods- especially when I am stressed out.

I know I am not the only one out there that is like this and was really hoping that I could be part of a group!

Hi Judy,

Since you say you eat a lot of snacks, chocolate chips etc., my one suggestion to you would be to make that harder, if not impossible, to do. Clean out your cupboards and fridge and get rid of every single thing that isn't in line with your goal. You can't eat junk food if it's not in your house. Or at least, you could but it would mean you'd have to make a deliberate trip to the store to get it and that would give you time to reconsider your choice.

Welcome Judy! I am sara, and I too am I fan of high-fat salty snacks...my favorite meal in college was Crunchy Cheetos and Dr. Pepper, and I consumed it often.. but since October I've lost 25 lbs, and I feel so much better. The trick for me was cutting out soda completely and replacing it with water. Also, well, I USED to exercise, but now I work so much that there is no time or need to, lol...but I think that cutting out half of the snacks you eat a day would make a dramatic change.

Welcome Judy. I find the only way I can keep from binging when I am stressed is not to buy the stuff. I hope you find lots of support here. sharla
