Hi everyone,

I was reading a previous poll and it was about customized diets. I didn't vote cause I didn't know how to interpret "A diet based on lifestyle." Can anyone clarify their thoughts on what "lifestyle" means?

Thanks!!

:)

I would think that would mean if you cooked at home, ate out, microwaved, had time to really cook..that type of stuff...how much time you really had to prepare good stuff to eat.

There's supposed to be a Dateline program soon about "diet based on lifestyle" so maybe their website would have more info for you. I think the poster who explained "eat at home, eat out etc" was probably right on target. It stands to reason, a diet won't work very well in the long run if it doesn't "meet you where you live" so if, for instance, you follow a diet that requires a lot of cooking at home when in fact you're rarely home and don't much like to cook....well, you see.
