Aggravated with my stupid scale!!

Okay, I'm really trying to de-emphasize the actual "weight" and the numbers on the scale, but that said...it sure would be nice to at least count on it being accurate when I DO look. I have a fairly expensive scale - one of the digital ones. It does warn you to take two readings in a row, since accuracy can be affected if it is moved, bumped, etc ...so it sure would be nice if I could get the SAME two numbers in a row!! Here's what I got this morning, along with the emotional roller coaster that goes with it. Step on...296.5. Okay, that's all right, holding my own. Step on again - 298. Hmm...I better check a third time, just to see which number is correct...hope it's the first. Step on again - 302. Oh man, I better quit while I'm ahead, or I'm going to end up GAINING weight this morning! Okay, once more - step on...295. ARGH!! While it's tempting just to pick the lowest number :-) I'd rather have the truth! I've tried other digital scales and they all have the same problem. Does anyone else experience this? How do you determine your "real" weight?

The first scale I bought when I started broke after about two months.
