I was feeling frustrated the other day (then again, when am I not lately) and thought for a fleeting moment about switching plans.

My first diet plan was just one of my own design, low cal, low fat, lotsa exercise, etc. I was not nearly as succesful with that as I have been with Atkins. It was easier for me to cheat with the other plan, and the carbs were getting me good. I feel more in control now as I am working WITH my insulin resistance as opposed to making it worse.

Well, like you Rely, I started with Atkins.

We are about to switch mine and actually take away things from my diet to jump my metabolism. Though it is not what I want or my dietian we feel it is the best thing to do for a about 2 weeks. Not sure how yet. We can't take the carbs out due to my activity level so I am clueless, which doesn't take much.

I did the Atkins Plan for a while but I found it too restricting. I switched to the Glycemic Index Plan. There is a wide variety of things to eat even if you stick to only Green Light foods. Also I put the choices on the fridge it helps my DH see what I can eat for when he makes the meals.
