Wednesday Weigh-In

I went for my Wednesday weigh-in today and I'm only down 0.2 pounds. Before you say anything, yes I know that a small nudge on the scale is better than gaining or even staying the same. And I know that this makes 4.2 pounds down since Saturday. But I didn't cheat...I did everything I was supposed to do, including drowning myself with water, choking down vegetables, and laying off of carbs. Grrrrr. I guess I'm impatient. I should realize that it took me awhile (5 years) to get to my current weight, it may take just as long to take it off . Good news is when we did a total body measure today, I'd lost 19.5 inches since Saturday. Keep in mind the measurement is total body measurement (neck, bust, ribs, waist, hips, thighs, ankles, upper arms), so I don't feel AWESOME about it, but it's better than nothing. I guess I'm just looking for big rewards in a short time period. Any uplifting words to help me get over this little temper tantrum I'm throwing right about now?

hi amanda, my name is sharon and i'm new to this board. i know how discouraging it can be when you want to lose faster and don't, just remember we are learning to eat heathly now and for a lifetime so don't put so much importance in the scales, there just numbers. i only weigh in once a week at my docs. i started in jan. at 311 and yesterday it said 279 1/2 so i'm going in the right direction. feel good about your health getting better and that your doing the right thing about takeing care of your body and you will be alright. hugs to you for what you have done already.

Have you pulled out a tape measure and looked at what 20 inches looks like?
