Ya'll...

I'm looking for red eye shadow, but I would like to find a decent inexpensive brand to fit the budget. Trouble is, yes this is going to make me look like a snot, I don't know if Revelon, L'oreal, ect have that color. I know Christian Dior does but that's just a wee bit out of my budget for now.

Any suggestions would be great.

OK ya'll need to start reading Vogue again. You think just cause you have kids....shaking my head.

Well, I am off to go find some. Walmart...Target...Ulta...I just don't want to pay 20 a pop for it. Besides what else do you wear with a blood red silk top?

I have a new red shirt (thank you Shawna) and I wear grey eyeshadow with it. Of course, I wear light brown or grey eyeshadow with EVERYTHING. I also wear silver lipstick....depending on where I'm going....I can't really get away with that for PTO meetings...

I'd wear black eyeliner if you want to look sultry. Red eyeshadow IMHO just looks like you had a serious tequila hangover.

PS not trying to be a troll, I'm just imagining what makeup I would wear with a red shirt.

There are many colors of eyeshadow you could wear with a red silk top, but (and just my opinion here), red eyeshadow would NOT be one of them. If you were going to a costume party, then maybe. If you want to be attractive, you would want to choose a color that would accent your eyes, perhaps something smokey and seductive.

There was a picture of Tyra Banks wearing red eyeshadow, and the description underneath the picture was not flattering. If a woman with her outstanding beauty could not pull it off, I would be a bit hesitant to try it.

Hey Karrie,

If you want to try red (or almost any color) eyeshadow, I've got a CHEAP way to do it! Go buy yourself some Wet & Wild or other very inexpensive lipstick in the shade you like...the dryer (less creamy) the better so it won't get creasy and experiment with the application on your eyelids! I add a little sparkly loose powder over it and it works for me.

Good luck!

i have midnight black liquid eyeliner but you need to have the red to cut the severity of the eyeliner.

am i the only one who watched america's top model??? :)

well i didn't find any BUT i have red and i mean red blush that works great. after a mix of white shadow and the blush it gives me a nice amy lee from evanance look.

by the way i am going to THE club. forget not going downtown with him or not...goodness Opus club was where everyone who is anyone goes

well since i am a woman with OUTSTANDING beauty, i might disagree.

her problem is that she wore it to her eyebrows. i simply want it as an accent color that will draw away from the harshness of black.

i actually just tired it all on and as long as i blend it with the white and not to my brows ala BANKS then i am fine. nice to have black eyeshadow as well...does my lower lashes a justice.
