Ya'll...

I'm looking for red eye shadow, but I would like to find a decent inexpensive brand to fit the budget. Trouble is, yes this is going to make me look like a snot, I don't know if Revelon, L'oreal, ect have that color. I know Christian Dior does but that's just a wee bit out of my budget for now.

Any suggestions would be great.

I apologize for the advice I gave--I mistakenly thought you were going to a dinner party, where red eyeshadow would not be considered appropriate. Since you are going "clubbing", the red will fit right in. Hope you have a great time!

I have an eyeshadow quad that has three colors I love and one deep berry color... I tried it one day and felt like I looked like I had an eye infection. lol

"Besides what else do you wear with a blood red silk top?"

ANYTHING! I am a big fan of neutrals, but when I get glammed up, I usually go for shimmer, either in very pale colors (think: ivory) or dark (think: charcoal)... That's just me. I love to look at the fashion magazines, but what works in print rarely works in the real world.

And for the record, on "America's Next Top Model" they said NEVER to match your eye shadow to your clothes.

I agree. I would never match my eye shadow to my clothes. I love neutrals. Given my skin color I go with bronzes and maybe a slightly colored shadow. Just my opinion.

well since i am going into a club i need an accent color that will pop without clashing

too late went to guerlain and had them put the colors together and they did add a touch of a red to see what it looked like and it looked great...as i said an accent color is totally different than brushing from lid to brow in any color (which Tara should have known better). all i needed was it in the corner and that's what they did. oh and yes it shimmers. by the way i am not matching it completely but you do need something that won't clash and neutrals do not work for the lighting in clubs (especially the one i am heading too)and are not dramatic enough for the look i am pulling off. Tried it on with the outfit...HELLO!!!

As for America's top Model...I didn't agree with half of what they said. But then again the designers they showcased I find to be rather trendy and young. My fav designers are versace, armani, d&g, lauren, gucci and chanel that's where i find my inspiration.

I don't think it would look horrible in club lighting.

i have all those colors. the only thing is i am going to have red lips BUT that's because mine are too pink. thank goodness i have lip brushes that help make everything look like a stain and not actual application.

i think it will look great...it's all shimmering

OH and i have a great friend who gave me a pedi and talked me into red toes...wow red toes. i never wear color for my polish

Take a picture after you're all dressed and ready to go. We'd love to see how you look! And have a great time tonight (it is tonight, right?)
