OK I am so mad at myself. When my mom was in the hospital during the last part of 2003, I had gained between 7 to 10 pounds back. I was working 9 hour days, running up to the hospital to take care of her, and eating on the run late. Well, dag gum it I tired on my spring clothes and AKKKK a bit too snug. SO freaking mad at myself that it's not even funny.

On a good note though, it looks like that I have truly lost 3 pounds. With the sudden weight gain 2 weeks back and the sudden lose of everything last week, I have stabilized to be 3 pounds lighter. NOW...I am on the road to lose at least 10 pounds or close to what I can healthy wise by the end of this month. I am truly irked by all this right now. Irked enough to focus on this instead of the whole thing with Jeff.

I am going to have my email alarm go off every 1.5 hours to go climb 3 flights of stairs. I am going to have a good friend email me at the same time so I won't get too busy.

I really do hate my closet right now and I am irked at myself enough to allow anyone to fuss at me about this as well.

So is it really possible to at least lose 6 pounds by the end of April, or is this wishful thinking on my part?

Hi Karrie! I understand your frustration about things in your closet feeling snug. I hate that feeling. It sucks! But I'm sure you'll fit into them again in no time. I'm glad your anger is motivating you to do something about it. I think it's good that you're doing the stairs every couple of hours. And I don't think it's unrealistic to lose 6 pounds by the end of April. I think it's very doable. Good luck and congratulations on the 3 pounds that you lost :)

I am just so irked about it. I have all these pretty little a line skirts from talbots that are too snug for my taste. How am I suppossed to look all girly and cute??? AKKKK.

I hate feeling fat as well. Yeppers I said it FAT.

Well, so far I have been doing good this morning. I chose to get some oj instead of my normal DP, wheat bagel with just a tablespoon of cream cheese, and i have fruit for my morning snack if i need it. though right now i am feeling the result of only 4 oz of caffiene and sugar (Dr Pepper) and I am sleepy.

thanks for the congrats on those 3 pounds. sheesh they were hard to see. i am hoping this is the beginning of my road to goal victory.

I just looked in the closet too...spring clothes that are 1-Too small and/or 2-fall into the "what was I thinking when I bought this?!" category. So I understand. What helps me and seems to make the extra belly weight fall away is walking. Find a nice tree-lined street or path, a walking buddy (this can even be a dog!) and start pounding the pavement. :) It's my instant stress relief, a nice excuse for socialization, and the next day my tummy always feels a little tighter. YAY! And I think 6 lbs. by the end of April is completely possible. That's about 2 pounds a week, which is still way within the healthy range. Good luck, you'll be into those Talbots skirts in no time!

Amanda,

You are so right about walking. Texas Springs are so pretty when it's not raining. I am going to start today. Of course I may have to go to the Mills and walk that twice but at least I am doing something.

I am trying to pay off a lot of stuff, which somehow is not that much, to get ready to buy a house. So no Y yet! I am actually going through the process of finding out if I can be on the sliding scale.

That storm just hit us about 2 hours ago and almost blew the city away. It also dropped the temp 20 degrees.
