My mom just called me on my cell and told me that my kitty died. We couldn't find her last night--somebody hit her and she was near my drive-way. I have had her since I was in the 5th grade...stupid idiots who don't stop when they hit a family pet should be shot in the head....so I am going tomorrow 3 hours away to bury her at my grandma's house where my sister's 16 year old cat was buried last fall.

What's worse is that I should have paid more attention to her...I should have spent more time with her and pet her more...man..i gotta stop--I am starting to cry...I will never have children b/c if they died, i couldn't handle it....

Why so bitter and judgmental?

Sometimes people just need sympathy, not someone on their soapbox telling them what they probably already know and regret.

My mama always said if you can't say anything nice then don't say anything at all. I've ALWAYS found it to be great advice.

Sara, sorry about your cat. Too bad this turned into a debate. Last week I had to have my most favorite cat put to sleep. What a horrible day that was. Fuzzy was hit by a car also and his back was broken. He was in terrible pain. We buried him in the back yard. Don't even think it was your fault because the kitty was outside. Every cat I have ever owned I tried to keep inside. It doesn't work. They sit and cry at the door. Being outside and bringing home mice and chasing birds is what cats do. Again, sorry for your loss. :-) Stephanie

Sorry Suze, this was meant for Sara

You have any idea how many times people have told her that?

Did not know that. Just happened to read a couple of not-so-nice posts and felt a need to reply.

I surely will ignore them from now on. Thanks for the advice. And sorry if I stirred the pot. It won't happen again.
