There's some people I'd LOVE to meet, just so I could kick their asses in person.
I'm still alive, and none the worse for wear.
(used to be a naked camgirl, now I only get naked for furry ;))

Shhhhhh......you told me that was OUR SECRET.
My ex and I met online. We were friends for a year then started dating. We were together for 6 years and are still good friends. I also met my current fiance online via an online game. We've been together for a year and are very happy. Also, I met a friend via 3fatchicks.com when I started losing weight and plan on meeting her in RL also. Obviously you have to exercise caution, but you're just as likely (if not more likely) to get attacked walking to your car at night then you are to be attacked by someone you meet online.
Also... 2 of my fiances friends met their fiances online, my dad met his 2nd wife online and I have met several RL friends online before I met them in person. I
And for the record, I wasn't hard up for friends at all when I met Rob. In fact I have had the same group of friends since elementary school and we've remained incredibly close. I was dealing with the aftermath of a divorce and looking for people who knew what it was like- at that time NONE of my friends had been married, as I was still quite young. Kind of like I am dealing with weight issues now and belong to a support board to that end.....you still with me?
I agree that it's NOTHING I would do now. I believe Rob and I were meant to be together....there are too many parallels in our lives for it to be any other way. At the time, my heart felt that it was the right thing to do and I don't regret it for a second. I have a wonderful husband and 2 beautiful children that I am planning to adopt (his from his first marriage) in the future. I have more love than I ever knew possible and I am thankful I was given the chance. How FOOLISH it would have been of me to give in to fear and lose the chance for all of this. Love is always a risk, be it the love of a friend or something romantic. Rob began as my friend and remains so. That we are in love with each other on top of that is one of the greatest joys of my life.
Neither is an axe murderer, I am happy to report.
